Greetings,

Time sure does fly when you're busy and having fun! That's definitely the case over here at Evisions- with all of the events past, present and future. We can't believe the month of April is almost to an end!

Thanks to the attendees at our 6th Annual Evisions Conference last month in Vegas. The meeting rooms were filled with over 200 guests who attended over 30 sessions, given by us and clients. Following our Conference was Ellucian (still getting use to the new name!) Summit 2012. Over 2,300 people stopped by our booth and a total of 18 sessions related to Evisions solutions were given, which was very exciting for us. See our recaps below.

Software updates keep coming. We are about to release Argos 4.0 and MAPS 4.0. These are major updates with a great deal of new functionality as well as improved delivery of product documentation. And if you don't feel you are getting everything you need from your reporting solution, take a look at our new Argos Deployment Service offering.

Also, check out our informative videos on our YouTube channel with just added clips on Cayuse 424 and how Liberty University uses Argos.

We hope you enjoy the rest of your Spring season!

Evisions Conference Recap

The 6th Annual Evisions Conference in Vegas was a success and it's all thanks to those who joined us. We had 200+ guests attending 30 informative presentations on all of our products and solutions. Sessions ranged from tips and tricks to more technical sessions, plus we offered a 'Tech Talk' where clients got to sit one on one with a technician and discuss a topic of their choice.

We'd like to thank our guest speakers who did a wonderful job presenting, and a special thanks to Dr. Chabotar who started our Conference off with an entertaining and positive talk on Higher Education and necessary changes for a bright future. Video coming soon.

For those who attended the closing roundtable session, we appreciate and value all of your recommendations. Please know we take your feedback seriously and are working on implementing your suggestions in future releases.

We had multiple giveaways that were only given out at the Conference including T-shirts, hats, pad folios and a USB flash drive in the shape of a poker chip to go along with our Vegas theme.

Save the date of Saturday, April 6, 2013 for the 7th Annual Evisions Conference. Hope to see you all there in Philadelphia.

For all who attended, Conference presentations are available for download on our website

Summit 2012 Recap

We've unpacked and are back to our normal day to day, which means the whirlwind of Summit 2012 is officially over! Every year we put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure a successful show. Setting up the booth is a 24 hour effort as you can see in a time lapse video - 24 hours condensed into 45 seconds.

View the Vegas fun in our Facebook photo album.

There were many exciting events that took place throughout the Conference. The stirring news came from Datatel+ SunGard HE announcing their new name, Ellucian. We'd like to give a warm thanks to our clients who presented on our products. There were a total of 13 client sessions that were given during the course of the conference. And on our end, the 'Code Ninja' t-shirt giveaway was a big hit. Booth was busy with booth demos every fifteen minutes and over 2,300 attendees stopping by.

We'd like to congratulate Richard DeBow, with the University of South Florida, and Fred Blythe, with the Colorado Community College System, for winning our raffle prizes! They both received a Generation 3 iPad as well as a $500 donation to their institution.

It's a very special time of year for us as these Conferences give us the opportunity to catch up with old friends and allow us to make new ones. Thanks to everyone who showed their support and helped make it an inspiring experience for us. Before we know it, we'll be getting ready for Summit 2013. We hope to see you all in Philly, if not sooner!

Coming Soon! Argos & MAPS 4.0!

You told us, we listened and you're about to get what you wanted. Exciting new releases of Argos and the MAP Server (MAPS) are just around the corner. Here's a taste of what's in them.

Argos and MAPS 4.0 Coming Soon!Argos 4.0 makes designing DataBlocks easier by providing additional options such as navigation tabs, radio buttons and form properties like default color and size.  Designers will be able to control the execution order of queries, set and clear variables and procedurally enable and disable form elements, all of which enable a more dynamic user experience. Report Writers get some new functions, and they'll appreciate the Revision Control system almost as much as the DataBlock Designers do. Report Viewers will like the ease of installation via the Java-based Universal Launcher, improved Shortcuts (now with folder and security) and the ability to save paramters and OLAP settings for next time.  We've also added a dashboard to every DataBlock that allows users to copy and print forms and charts, and even to run multiple reports with just a few clicks.

MAPS 4.0 includes dynamic new launch pages that make it easier than ever for users to access resources such as the Evisions' HelpDesk and documentation. Administrators can configure the page look-and-feel and even add custom widgets.  The new auditing feature makes it easy to see how the software is being used (what reports/templates are being run, who has loogged into the system, how the system is using memory, etc.). There is added support for "role based" security so that custom user types can be created with the exact permissions you need.

Both releases have our improved delivery of product documentation. The user guides are now part of our integrated web help, which has improved searching, printing, bookmarks, integrated videos, etc. Look for the announcement of these releases in the very near future.

Curious to see our pending product updates? Take a look at our Product Roadmap. And did you know that you can vote for what product enhancements you would like to see in upcoming releases?
