Marshall University

This session will illustrate how Marshall University uses QuickViews to do things like viewing document approval status or reviewing the documents in a particular approvers' queue. Title: Current employees and Open Positions by Organization Code Download

College of St. Catherine

Description: The Datablock uses information from Employment Administration, Applicant Tracking and Position Control forms to display Current Employees and Open Positions by Organization Code. Using the visual designer, I will show you how to create a main query that shows current employees using an effective date subquery for both the job and labor distribution. Then a using the Union feature, will add Union to the main query that will display open positions for the same Organization Code. Drop-down selection of Organization Code and Effective date field in the parameter field will allow for easy viewing as a QuickView Report. The QuickView can be used to allow a Budget Manager to select specific departments in order to manage salary costsand view staffing trends. Other organization-wide comprehensive FTE and staffing reports can also be generated from this Datablock.

Title: Using Argos to Validate the ODS and EDW against Banner Download

SUNY New Paltz

Description: This session will show you how to choose a Banner form that is useful for validating EDW data (always a form with aggregate numbers, not a form showing detail). It will then go on to show how to generate SQL resulting in aggregate numbers from EDW and ODS and to use DataBlock development techniques to show the results of both EDW and ODS queries on a single QuickView.
