We work closely with Ellucian’s leadership & product teams to ensure that Evisions solutions will continue to integrate with and enhance your use of Ellucian’s products, including Insights, Banner, Colleague, and PowerCampus – no matter what deployment model clients use on campus. Evisions’ ongoing collaboration with Ellucian underscores our dedication to supporting our clients through every step of their migration to SaaS.

Our goal is to help your institution put reporting first, by ensuring seamless, stable connectivity when it comes to accessing and acting on your data.

Can Argos work with Ellucian’s SaaS environments?
Yes. Argos is already working on client campuses today against the Ellucian Banner and Colleague SaaS environments. Ellucian’s most successful SaaS clients are utilizing Argos for operational reporting.  
How can I connect to my Ellucian SaaS environment?
Argos can connect through the Ellucian Data Gateway and Ellucian Business Process APIs
If I have Ellucian Insights Reporting, can I still use Argos?

Yes. We continue to hear from clients that the range of capabilities in Argos are a critical component of their SaaS journey, enabling them to confidently move to SaaS, and set them up for reporting success in a SaaS environment.

Can Argos work with other SaaS-based systems?
Yes. Whether using the REST Connector or the integration with Alteryx, Argos can work with a number of SaaS-based systems. We recommend reaching out to your Evisions Client Partner to open up a discussion on your systems and needs. (If you don’t know who your Client Partner is, let us know and we’ll get you connected.)
How can Evisions help me set up and use Argos in a SaaS environment?
Evisions Professional Services can provide consulting, development, and training on all aspects of using Argos with data from SaaS sources. We can provide remote consultation to clarify your data connectivity options for reports in a SaaS environment; assess the scale of necessary updates for Argos reports; and introduce supportive technical tools for migration planning. If you’ll be moving Argos DataBlocks and Reports from one source to another, the team can assist with the planning, training, and conversion of the DataBlocks. If you need to better understand how to access data in a SaaS environment, our consultants and trainers can provide hands-on training to set up and troubleshoot these new types of connections.

Can I continue to use IntelleCheck in an on-premise environment?
Yes, IntelleCheck will remain available and usable in an on-premise environment.
Will my IntelleCheck admin experience change?

IntelleCheck admins, for the first time, will have the ability to modify their own check templates in FormFusion (i.e., signature and logo changes). It eliminates the need to wait for Evisions to make file modifications.

Will the IntelleCheck end user experience change?

End users that are not in charge of IntelleCheck administration will experience very little to no change when interacting with the SaaS compatible version of IntelleCheck.

What version of IntelleCheck must I have to become SaaS compatible?
You’ll need to be on IntelleCheck version 4.0 or above.
Will we continue to get updated PC files if we are not moving to SaaS?
Yes. Evisions will continue supporting on-prem deployments.
What will happen to my check customizations?
For clients engaged in a migration to Banner SaaS, Evisions will work with you to convert your existing check templates into the new SaaS FormFusion check templates.
Is it true that FormFusion is needed to utilize IntelleCheck in a SaaS environment? What if my institution currently does not own FormFusion?
Yes. FormFusion will now be used to design check and direct deposit advice layouts. Because of this, we have created a new IntelleCheck FormFusion Director that will send FormFusion output directly to the IntelleCheck application. Your existing IntelleCheck license includes a limited license of FormFusion to enable the SaaS integration.  
Can I move to the SaaS compatible version of Intellecheck to take advantage of its features if I am not on Banner SaaS?
Yes. The SaaS compatible version of Intellecheck will work for on-premise Banner customers.
What if I am using BTMX BankMobile for disbursements?

Evisions is in the process of updating IntelleCheck to utilize two new Ellucian APIs in order to perform card file generation and payment reconciliation. We will make an announcement once these changes are complete (or feel free to check back here for updated information).

How can Evisions help me set up and use IntelleCheck in a SaaS environment?

In the new SaaS-compatible version of IntelleCheck, Evisions has introduced the capability to self-manage the configuration and design of checks and direct deposit advices. Evisions Support and Professional Services will, at no cost, convert your existing outputs for IntelleCheck over to this new configuration. We will also provide training that will give your users the confidence they need to be able to maintain these documents, without having to reach out to Support for every change. If your institution does not have the time or feels that this skillset is not something you can maintain, Evisions Professional Services can provide two tiers of subscription services that will maintain these items for you (for a cost), whether they are standard configurations, or more complex configurations with additional data not included in the standard job submission files.

Can I continue to use FormFusion in an on-premise environment?

Yes, FormFusion will remain available and usable in an on-premise environment.

What version of FormFusion must I have to become SaaS compatible?
You’ll need to be on FormFusion version 4.1 or above.
What if my documents contain supplemental data?
Supplemental data for your forms and documents can be obtained using the Ellucian Business Process APIs through the Evisions REST Connector (rather than the direct transaction database via ODBC connections).  
Will the FormFusion end user experience change?

Your end users will experience no change.

How can Evisions help me set up and use FormFusion in a SaaS environment?

FormFusion will require some additional setup to work in these new environments. Evisions will provide initial Support and Professional Services at no cost to help configure FormFusion to work with your ERP in order to better align the forms with SaaS-safe data access. If needed, Professional Services can provide annual subscription support for accessing and configuring new REST data points (for a cost).

General FAQs

If we are staying on-prem (for now), will we need to make changes to work with the new versions?
You will not have to make changes. The updated versions of FormFusion and IntelleCheck will be designed to be fully backward compatible, meaning you can upgrade to newer versions without changing your current configuration. (The API calls, new configuration, etc. are for Banner SaaS.)
In the SaaS environment, will my MAPS products be hosted by Evisions or Ellucian?
This will depend on the MAPS products you own. FormFusion and IntelleCheck will be hosted in an Ellucian cloud environment. Argos can be self-hosted or Ellucian-hosted. (Evisions recommends self-hosting, as it will give you more control over your connections and integrations.)
If Evisions and Banner are both on-prem, do we need to move the database to the MAPS server or can it stay in the Banner environment?
In an on-prem deployment there is no need to move the database out of your Oracle instance.
When using FormFusion or IntelleCheck in a SaaS environment, will we still be able to direct a job to a physical printer?
Yes. However, the setup for doing so will be different than it is for on-prem.
We’re on Ellucian Managed Cloud. Would we be considered on-prem or would we be classified as SaaS?
Although it’s possible to run a managed cloud installation like an on-prem configuration, we anticipate that eventually it will be most beneficial for you to adopt the SaaS configuration.
If we move to Banner SaaS, do we also need to move MAPS to the cloud? Can we still run MAPS on site, and will it work with Banner SaaS?
MAPS works on-prem and in a hosted environment. The decision of where to install it is up to you, the customer, based on your needs.
If we are using FormFusion for check printing with Colleague SaaS, will that process be changed?
Yes. The process of integrating FormFusion with Colleague is very similar to the process of integrating with Banner and will therefore require updating. Evisions and Ellucian are currently collaborating on the necessary changes to support Colleague SaaS in a future version of FormFusion.
Will there be options for test and prod systems in both the on-prem and cloud environments?
Absolutely. We always allow for Test, Production and Disaster Recovery servers for MAPS.
